On the second part of the mission in tremos mountains, when you are being attacked by undead units mostly, there is a town in the southeast past the mountains that is being guarded by a unit lead by a witch. Make sure that you attack with Magnu'sunit and make sure that you have Aisha and Saradin with you when you do.
Later on in the first mission(Gules Hills) of the final chapter send Magnus unit(you must have Debonair, Aisha and Saradin in your unit) to Kurashino and once you have defeated the unit there, enter the stronghold and he will join you.
