White spot being a patch of fur that is white not the actual skin, right?

It means that when the dog is old enough it should be spayed or neutered.  But other than that, nothing.  Still a good family pet.

it doesn't mean that the dog has to be neutered its just a defect in the dogs genes causing a white spot and that's it.

This is not always true that you should have them spayed I thought the samething I was so worried until I spoke with someone from Vancouver and her dogs are champions and she breeds them Kezzy Sioux is the dogs name and she had a white patch on her chest and she won in the show ring and she bred excellent dogs. Also back before the 1900's the true colors of Rottweilers were black/tan and white believe it or not so try to research the dogs more before everyone jumps to conclusions about the breed it took alot of research before you will find it but the information is out there somewhere.

Although many people aren't aware of this, some rottweilers do have white paws and a white chest. This is rare, but normal for rottweilers. This may be what your puppy's white spot is.
