B is for Boys and G is for Gibb, hence, Bee Gees.

Many answers:- 'B.G.s' is what they first used: Brothers Gibb, Barbara Gibb (tribute to their mother), Barry Gibb(lead in the group), Bill Gates (DJ that started their career). -they later expanded B.G.s to Bee Gees

the group initially called themselves the B G's when they performed in Australia they tried several otheir names however a misspelling of a local performance poster titled the group The BEE GEE's it stuck, the B G's initially used the letters to represent the Brothers Gibb. I have Personal experience with 2 of the brothers Barry and Maurice haveing visted with them on tour in 1979, 1989, and also was invited to Middle Ear studios in the 1990's where i sat in on Recording sessions and a few good laughs with them...I hope to visit them soon and i will confirm this information....

I think they are the Brothers Gibb and will always be. Their music is awe inspiring. They are absolutely fabulous song writers and singers.

BEE GEE STANDS FOR BROTHERS GIBB, I AM A HUGE FAN, MY FRIENDS THINK I AM CRAZY CONSIDERING I AM ONLY 34 YEARS OLD, THEY BECAME CHART TOPPERS WHEN I WAS A CHILD!
