how do I know if I am behind a firewall??

I am behind a firewall and when I go in to yahoo chat room and just chating with friends I can not hear them and I can't talk to them. It said that I am behind and fire wall. I do I get away from the firewall and my computer can be o.k. /

i cant play yahoo literati.it says that i am behind fire wall or i have a stale page in cache .it shows error logging into server but i can play other games like pool,chess, word racer etc please help me out
