I hope someone can answer this for me.  I got a Persian Cat on April 26 from a family that was giving her away.  They had gotten her from the local pound.  They gave me all the info on her and the papers from the pound.  The papers stated that she had been spayed but to my surprise on Thursday evening she bothered me till I followed her to my bathroom where she proudly showed me her newly born and very sweet 3 kittens.  I know that the vet at the pound said they had put her under and was preparing to spay her and saw a scar and assumed that she had already been done.  My question is could the anesthetic have harmed the kittens?  She was anesthetized on the 22 of March.  The kittens are doing well but I am still worried.  The mother is very good and lets me and kids sit with her in the evenings.  Please if anyone knows let me know.

Proud But unexpected grandmother of 3 kittens.
