Ozone depletion is a caused by chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) emissions which are produced by volcanoe eruptions and materials such as spray cans, refrigeration materials, and foam packaging.  When the CFC molecules react with the ozone molecules it results in depletion.  The atmosphere is effected when the ozone molecules are destroyed in the reaction.

Ozone depletion affects the Biosphere the most by putting zooplankton and phytoplankton in a dangerous situation of extinction which can then lead to an unbalance in the ecosystem. Although the unbalance of the ecosystem would lead to devastating results, it is not the only segment of the biosphere that could be destroyed. Human health would also be at a greater risk, with the immune system failing under increased amounts of ultraviolet radiation as well as eye complications. Plant growth would also suffer, stunting of growth and they will no longer be able to protect themselves from the UV radiation. Also the amount of foliage left to absorb the sunlight for photosynthesis would struggle due to the lack of area exposed to the sunlight.
