Depends on the API gravity of the gasoline, which varies by grade and refinery. Usually, regular unleaded gasoline has a gravity of around 58 and a weight per gallon of 6.216 pounds per gallon. Premium gasoline may have a gravity of 54, or 6.350 pounds per gallon.

well it really depends on the class of the gasoline. whether it is premium or super unleaded. i honestly would go for the premium...oh u want to no the weight. no frikkin idea...wat i dumb Q

I'M Getting my Belly Button Pierced this October 7th 2004 for my birthday and i was wondering can you only feel the clamp or can you feel the clamp and the needle at the same time. Any ways my brothers girl friend had her belly button pierced and shes 20 and heres got infected because she did it herself and she wasn'tfeeling well so she went to the hospital and they told her they had to rip out her belly button Pierced and she said she would never get it done again. any ways thanks for listening to my story i hope you liked it.

Nope, both wrong! it depends on this formula.... n(gallon of gas) b(weight) (n/3+ (square root) of 2^2) divided by 3 should come out to: say example of 1/3 + square root of 2^2= 3/3, which equals 1 divided by 3, which equals 1/3 again, So gas weighs the same as the number of gallons it has! Taddda!

Pilots use an approximate weight of 6 pounds per gallon for weight and balance calculations. That's not exact, but it's close enough for government work when you're dealing with a light aircraft.

I'm not familiar with the term "API gravity". With a weight of 6.216 pounds per gallon regular gasoline would have a specific gravity of about 0.75. Can anyone give me a semi-technical definition of API gravity? My background is in experimental psych. (not petroleum engineering); I do have the 1956 edition of the Handbook of Physics & Chemistry--but I don't want to use it to look up technical terms in the definition of "API gravity".
