ok... when i was 13 i had my best friend's mom pierce my nose with an ear piercing gun... i was really nervouse but it so didn't hurt. i don't know about the pain of doing it professionally because they use needles and i just used the fast gun thing... i didn't have to take care of my nose piercing i only had to not put coverup or make up near the hole, i had to twist it like 2 to 3 times a day, not touch it so much until it heals, and if i had to clean it i just used non sented plain ivory soap, the liquid kind. don't sleep on the side where you have your nose pierced because that will irritate it and make it hurt. it only took about a month and a half to two months to heal and be able to change the ring i am now 14 and i have gotten my belly button and 13 ear piercings so i can deal with pain easily... good luck with your piercing

Hi. I work in a tattoo shop. I've had my nose pierced before. 3 or 4 times actually. The most common question you hear people ask is if it hurts. The answer is, it's not like it's supposed to feel great like an orgasm, you are getting a stainless steel needle shove through your skin. But don't let that discourage you, it's not that bad. And after it's done, you don't even know it's there with the exeption that you can see the jewel sparkle. The best way to take care of it is to WASH IT 3 TIMES A DAY WITH A REGULAR ANTIBACTERIAL SOAP(LIKE SOFTSOAP) MAKE SURE TO DRY IT OFF CAREFULLY, AND MAKE SURE TO NOT PLAY WITH IT WITH UNWASHED HANDS!!! IT WILL INDEED GET INFECTED IF YOU TOUCH IT WITHOUT WASHING YOUR HANDS FIRST. AND, DON'T FORGET TO TWIST WHILE YOU ARE RINSING THE SOAP OFF, BECAUSE YOU DON'T WANT SOAP IN YOUR PIERCING. if you have anymore Questions, you can e-mail me at angelwings002004@yahoo.com

Hey ya'll I got my nose done on both sides, it hurt like anything but I done it. At first its just like a little pinch, then its sore for a few weeks, but its not half as bad as gettin the top of your ear done --In the cartilage-- I have my ears done three times on both sides, so I know what Im talkin about when I say, There isn't much to gettin your nose done. Clean it regularly with peroxide, not alcohol, and you'll be fine. It doesnt always leave a scar, but you may get one! I got mine ALL done with a gun, its ALOT better! It faster and hurts less, its still not outlawed in alot of places, so go for it! Bumps are VERY normal, I had them on both sides... They eventually go away! i got my nose pierced about a month ago, and it's completely healed already,it didn't hurt as much as i thought it would. it was just a pinch n my eyes watered a little bit then it was fine, it didn't hurt at all after that. the best way to take care of it is sea salt water..and anti-bacterial soap. u can use a cotton-ball or a q-tip. i use a q-tip it works best. the first day i got mine done i got it caught on a wash cloth and it came out. but it went right back in. It hurt but it wasn't that bad.. and when u get it done put in something small,i hate when girls wear those huge nose rings they look stupid..and yes the nose does heal very nicely, if you want to take it out it will take a while for the hole to go away but its just like an ear piercing..well good luck <3

okay it seems you are fussing over nothing, I'm a hairdresser and i Peirce noses at my salon. if Ur only looking to have a little piercing not stretching the whole it will heal perfect every piercing heals over. it doesn't hurt its just like getting your ears peirced only lesser of an owch. good luck and little diamond studs are the way to go these days arent they. i have had my nose peirced for over 3 years and i love it im 23 and i have a white gold stud in my nose only tiny and absolutely love it so dont be afraid. and the best way to take care of it is to keep the surface clean all the time cause you dont want infections and dont do it by yourself always go to a peircing palace or a hairdressers. if you do any peircings by yourself you can suffer infections under the skin worst case scenario i have seen is a kid had half his tounge removed because he peirced his tounge himself and infection is the deadly diller that kids always mess with. well i hope this answers all your questions and good luck YOULL LOVE THE NOSE PEIRCING

Hey Debra. Ive had my nose pierced a couple times, piercing it does not hurt at all. the worst that will happen is your eyes will water. try plucking a nose hair, thats how much it hurts. The best way to take care of it is to use some hygenic cleaning sloutin without alcohal and rub on the outside and inside of your nose a couple times a day. Do not use hydrogen peroxide. It dries out the skin. Take out the nose stud once a day and clean off all the "presents" and soad the stud in a cap full of hydrogen peroxide. Me and my friend both go our noses pierced and after a while we ended up with a simple skin buble. dont pop it it will go down. You may not get that though. If you want to take it out for good, there should be an unoticible scar, only you may be ble to see it if at all. Well i hope this helps! HAPPY PIERCING .p.s get it done by NEEDLE only no gun!

I want to get my nose pierced this weekend. And I would like to know how much it hurts...the best way to take care of it. And if one day I decide I don't want it, will it heal good or will I have a whole in my nose. Note* I just want a little diamond stud in my nose.

a friend of mine has had her nose pierced on 5 occasions. she says it makes her eyes water, but not too bad. As for if it heals up if taken out- hers did, that's why she's had it done 5 times. But it depends on how long you keep it in and if you let it heal properly in the first place. if you do, the hole will form a tube of skin (like pierced ears) so should be there for ever. If the stud is only in a few weeks then taken out and left out, the tube of skin will not have formed and the hole will heal up.

well Debra...although piercings seem to be quite popular and attractive it all depends on how you clean them. Make sure you follow a hygenic routine if you chose to get it done if you look after it properly i'msure it will look great. Love ya darls

yes it does hurt but not for long..it makes your eyes water when it peirces through and it bleeds but otherwise its not so bad. Only thing is i just got mine done yesterday and it is still bleeding pretty good and what i was wondering ws if it suppose to do that or not.?

I got mine done a few weeks back, it didn't hurt but I did flinch when it took place, it ached for about an hour or two afterwards but after that it was perfectly fine, if still tender to the touch. As far as I know unless it gets infected it heals over very quickly, but it does heal from the outside in, so even if the outside holes are healed it still may be an open wound beyond that, which is why you MUST wash it carefully for fear of infection.

i got my nose done it didnt hurt me at all untill i kept hitting it. you have to clen it with a gause pad with sea salt solution and spectro jel. this will let it heel. if you decide to take it out make sure it is healed becaues the infection can get closed inside of your nose. also make sure the piercer checks for vains because the blood flow in your nose is also used in your brain. i dunno if their will be a hole i dont think so maybe at first but it will go away.

it hurts mre than getting your ear pierced, just because theres more flesh to go through. everybody will tell you something different. it all depends on how high your tolerance for pain is. if getting your ears pierced was nothing, then getting you rnose pierced will only be more of a pinch. nothing to worry about. take care of it as much as you would with new ear piercings, and if you have really bad allergies, i would recommend that you pass. otherwise, go for it. i think it would look great, and make sure your parents wont kill you for it!

Well, I don't actually have a nose piercing, but I want one, so i've been doing a lot of research. A lot of people have said that it hurts less that an ear piercing, and only a few said it hurts. No one has said that it hurts A TON! So, I wouldn't worry, Its probably gonna be nothing. Happy Piercing!!!

You will get so many different answers to the question "does it hurt", before i got my stud i asked people the exact same question and a lot of the responses were "it doesnt hurt at all", well, im here to tell u from experience that the people who say that are just trying to be cool because of course its going to hurt, hence the word PIERCING. It really did hurt me more than i thought it would, but it was something that i have wanted for so long, so if u really want it DO IT!

I also want to get my nose done, and after asking how much it hurt from someone who already had it done, I was told that compared to ear piercing it is 'a different type of pain' and makes your eyes water. Also I think that if you don't like it, if you take it out once its healed the time it takes for the hole to completely heal depends on your individual body healing time

Well, it hurts, but it's not unbearable. It's over before you know it. I just got mine done, so I'm not sure about the healing and all. But Saline Solution is the best cleanser. It's all natural, just hot water and salt. Not sure about if you take it out, it'll grow back. I think it would?

a nose piercing hurts a little bit when the needle goes through but after that i doesnt hurt as much. it only takes a week to heal even though the piercier says longer. to clean it every day u wipe on it and around it with alcohol. have fun!!!!!!!!!!!

When I had my nose pierced it hurt REALLY bad. I can't really describe the feeling, but I could tell you it hurt worse than any of my tattoos. I did eventually take it out (the little diamond stud) two months ago, and I still have a bluish/blackish dot on my nose, where the hole is. The hole still has not healed completely, but it does not hurt or cause any other problems.

When I got my nose pierced, it hurt a lot. I got it done with a needle (not a gun). However, the pain is only during the insertion of the needle and there was almost no pain after. My two friends said it didn't hurt them very much at all. I took my nose ring out a few years ago, and I can still see the hole a little. It blends in though since my piercing was in the crease of my nose. Good luck!

It hurts ALOT! I got my tongue pierced, no problem. Couple of weeks later, went back, figuring the nose would be about the same pain level. WRONG! The guy piercing my nose told me he'd had grown men jump up from the chair during a nose piercing.

it really hurts.think about it
