I've heard that Cavalier King Charles Spaniels don't do well...

I've heard that Cavalier King Charles Spaniels don't do well in warm conditions.  I live in southern Alabama, is that too warm?

Our breeder is in Georgia. It's pretty hot there....

Cavaliers are not outside dogs.  They do not like any extremes--heat, cold or wet.  These are fairly delicate animals, incredibly sweet tempered but not suited to families who are not interested in an inside dog.  They do shed.
