My Golden Retriever/Yellow Lab mix just mated with a Black Lab on Friday, May 21. She was a little over a week into her heat cycle. We know they mated more than once. She is still lightly bleeding. Does this mean she's not pregnant?

Females will continue to have thier discharge until the cycle is over. You will not know if she is pregnant until at least a month. Remember that even if the dogs did mate sometimes something may go wrong and the female may miscarry or reasorb the fetuses.

No! she must likely is pregnant! keep an eye on the bleeding, it may be a regular process during fertility call bichusgrandi, the orifice gets swallowen and might segregate during fertility.  congrats ! you will be a grandparent.

Nope, we breed dogs and they will continue bleeding even after the deed is done. Why if you have a mix dog would you not have spayed her to start with. With all the dogs in the pound their really isn't any more need for muts
