Should I contest this?  I have pictures of the poorly marked intersection and feel I really have a case...  If I contest, what else should I say?

I was ticketed for turning left from a middle lane that I thought had a "turn or go straight" arrow painted on it.   As I turned out of a parking lot and onto the street I eventually got ticketed on, I was following the car in front of me andwas  looking up at the green light (on the far left lightpost) vs. down on the arrows on the lane.  Since I missed the 1st light, my car ended up sitting on the arrow in my lane.  There wasn't a center intersection light with an arrow or sign indicating which lanes could turn.  The lane on the opposite / oncoming traffic had a "turn or go straight" arrow, and the crossroad traffic had a "go straight or u-turn permissable" sign posted on it's light that.  So I assumed that I was in a combined "turn left or go straight" lane.
