I have a 2003 Tundra. Every time I start the engine, take it out of park and excelerate, I hear a poping sound in the front of the truck. It sounds like metal flexing.

That sound you hear is from the brake caliper releasing. Mine comes from the front right caliper, but not all the time-and i have not heard it since i turned 4100 miles, roughly (now at 5500). I have heard you get the sound to stop by changing the braking variable from 80%-front and 20%-rear braking force to 65-70% front to 30-35% force, respectively. HOWEVER, i work for the company that engineered the ABS (anti lock brake) system for that year Tundra, and I highly recommend not to do it (unfortunately they did not design the hardware, just the software). The algorithm that the chip processes will not allow your ABS to work exactly as it was designed to do. I actually had a mechanic from the local dealership try to get me to do this, stating that it is better for towing and diminishes front end dive when braking. Hopefully mine is done doing it, and yours stops soon. email me if you have any questions-deniro11@hotmail.com and reference 2003 tundra in the subject line
