hitler was the cause of the holocaust. world war two started like this:
japan was attacking china for their resources. the united states told japan to leave china alone. japan refused. the united states stopped japan from getting oil. japan continued to attack china. the united states prevented japan from reaching their stocks, banks, and money. japan was "frozen". japan had no choice but to attack the united states. the attack on pearl harbor occured on december 7, 1941. the president at the time, Roosevelt, used this attack as an excuse to go to war. the united states did not declare war on japan, but on germany. the united states was more afraid of germany and hitler achieving world domination. thus, world war two for the united states began.
britain and france were fighting germany because hitler broke an appeasement that was signed. russia was fighting germany because hitler broke a non-agression pact that he signed with stallin (leader of russia).

Mostly economy and power. When WW2 started Hitler was greed with power, he teamed up with japan and Paris. The reason money was so bad was because of the last World War (when Germany signed the Treaty of Versailles). Germany needed a leader to guide them through this rough time.

The causes of genocide were the rise of Hitler after WWI. The German economy was in shambles after World War I which made many people desperate for basic needs.  The Treaty of Versailles forced Germany to pay $33 billion in repairs after World War I. People felt that Hitler could fix the economy, and they ignored his insane ideas.  They did’t care that his ideas were crazy if he could fix the economy. Hitler blamed all the Jewish community for something that they didn’t do.
