Our newly bought bichon is giving us the hardest time when potty training him ... he likes to pee and poop in our carpet and mostly in corners too ... we tried our yard, a newspaper, his crate and now a potty pads and nothing seem to work and we even try to put his pad or newspaper on that certain area of our carpet where he messed up but still he would go to another area and then we'd go to that area and put it there but he comes back where there isn't any pads ... we're really frustrated and it seems so imposible for him to do it coz we have done everything ... PLEASE HELP US

Try getting some bitter apple spray and cleaning the carpet with a little amonia where the pup soiled.  Then put the pad down (the pad should always be in the same spot) and watch the pup.  As soon as you see him doing the I have to go snif & circles, say NO!, pick him/her up and place the pup on the pad.  Turn your back (they like privacy) and if the pup gets it right have a poo poo/pee pee party.  Lots of priase, lots of good boy/girl and a treat will also help.  Be consistant, when left alone confine and alway have the pad out for the pup in the same spot.

Our bichon wa tough to potty train too.   Try Nature's miracle.  It covers up the scent of where they went the bathroom.  We would time our bichon.  We took her out say every couple hours.  It took her a long time to start going to the door.  Eventually, with time, she learned.

Is the dog fixed?  We had this problem with our male dog, we tried everything and nothing worked.  But literally, the second we got him neutered it stopped.
