The secret to walking any dog, is to always make sure that they walk beside you and not in front of you. You should set the rules even before leaving the house. 1 Make sure you dog is sitting calmly before putting on there leash. 2 Have the dog sit at the door and you go out the door first then invite the dog out. 3 While walking keep your arm by your side and your dog on a short leash by your side as well. If the dog trys to pull forward give a quick pull to the side towards you to direct the dogs attention to you and the walk. Repeat as needed. Remember you need to remain calm and in control.
