I have a five dollar silver certificate 1934D series with a blue seal. It says "This certificate is legal tender for all debts public and private". Serial# S13378977A. On the back of it the words IN GOD WE  TRUST is not there. Can this be woth anything?

Hi..the pharse in "In God We Trust" was not put on the $5 Silver Certificates.The five dollar notes were changed to Federal Reserve Notes with the 1963 series and then the phrase was added at that time.
Your note is really common in circulated grades and in average circulated grades a dealer buying value of $5.50-$6.00 is probably correct.
