I have a 13 week old Chi. He has been having diarrhea off and on for the last couple of weeks. He has been to the vet twice since I've had him (3 weeks)for regular check-ups and vaccinations. We bought the same food he was being fed, and he drinks lot's of water. He eats nothing other than that. The vet suggested I change his food (one that easier to digest). I'm trying to figure out what could be causing this. We keep the house very clean so he does not pick anything up from the floors.I wash my floors with pine sol cleaner, he likes to lick the floors and chew on our carpet, do you guys think this could be making him sick? Any ideas?

He might just be going through a phase, or perhaps it's a reaction to the vaccines (which could take a day or two to manifest).  Your vet might have the right idea though to try a different brand.  One thing I have noticed is that both my girls get the runs if they eat canned dog food.  As long as they get just kibbles, they're fine.  If you're feeding wet food, try mixing it with dry and reducing the wet until it's all dry kibbles.

I use Science Diet, Royal Canin, Natural Choice, etc.  I'm lucky, my girls don't need to be slowly weaned from one to another, but they do definitely get sick of the same brand all the time.  They'll look at me as if to say "This again?" and are quite happy when I open a new bag.

It could well be the pine sol cleaner. Have you asked the vet about this??

The mystery is solved. It was the food. We bought the food he was being fed before we bought him. I changed his food to a better higher quality one. The diarrhea stopped the next day. The old food had corn in it, dogs don't digest corn well... He's now eating Natual Choice for puppies.

I'm glad he's feeling better.  You're obviously a very caring parent, you're both lucky.
