i live on the 9th floor of a high rise building.How can i get rid of pidgeons?

Pigeons have a natural fear of predators
(e.g. hawks).  Hang a fake hawk out where
the pigeons gather (how you get it out there
is another problem... :-)

Here in Boston on subway platforms, they
put rows of spiky (stiff) stainless steel wires
on all horizontal surfaces.  The wires
prevent (or strongly discourage) the pigeons from
landing and/or roosting.  Seems to work fairly well.
