a simple and quick google search turned this up. it looks like if your parents are willing to literally sign off on this on paper, you can have it done. be prepared of course to have them there with you to sign the proper forms, because unlike teachers, piercers aren't likely to trust a note from home. by the way, check out the way cool "Check Spelling" option below. it makes you look less retarded. 333.13102 Tattooing, branding, or body piercing of minors; written informed consent of parent or legal guardian; persons under influence of intoxicating liquor or controlled substance. Sec. 13102. (1) An individual shall not tattoo, brand, or perform body-piercing on a minor unless the individual obtains the prior written informed consent of the minor's parent or legal guardian. The minor's parent or legal guardian shall execute the written, informed consent required under this subsection in the presence of the individual performing the tattooing, branding, or body-piercing on the minor or in the presence of an employee or agent of that individual. For purposes of this section, "minor" does not include a minor who is emancipated pursuant to section 4 of Act No. 293 of the Public Acts of 1968, being section 722.4 of the Michigan Compiled Laws. (2) An individual shall not tattoo, brand, or perform body-piercing on another individual if the other individual is under the influence of intoxicating liquor or a controlled substance.

how old you have to be to get your tongue pierced in Michigan? and how does it hurt like everyone says

it doesn`t hurt for most people for the like for the very VERY few people it does hurt...it should only hurt a few days afterwards and your tongue will most likely swell..and you should only like eat really soft foods or just liguids and suck on ice and eat ice cream.about the age thing you should look on the enternet some more to see what age you should be or go to a place were you can pierce your tongue and ask how old you should be..

i dnt no how old u have to be in michigan...and im 14 and ive had mine done for about 5 months...it doesnt hurt @ all...im a girlie girl an real preppy...i cry when i get shots cuz i think they hurt and when i got mine done(of course i cloed mi eyesb*c i am terrified of needelz...but neways)mi best friend was w/ me and she watched them do it...she help mi hand so0 tight like she was the one gettin it lol!...when i felt a little sting...i mena little!....he was done scerwing on the 2nd ball!...so0o no0o it doesnt hurt...and go0d luck w/ urs...if ur the one getin it done!

how old do u have to be to get ur tounge peirced i herd u just have to get ur parent to sign a concent form i hope so i might get mine done when im fourteen or next week he he how do u do it byyourself u know get ur tounge peirced becuase my mumus might not take me to get it done and well i want to do it myself ill just buy a barbell at the mall sincerly -13 -michingan -saginaw

I just recently got my tongue peirced maybe 3 days ago for the second time. The first time i got it done it didnt hurt when they did it but after i was in tears. But it depends on how well you can take pain. It is on your own level. The second time i got it done it hasn't hurt yet. I'm taking care of it and the swelling is still there a little but it is slowly going down. JUST TAKE CARE OF IT if you get it done. REPLY AFTER***

It doesnt hurt to get your tongue pierced. If you have your ears or belly button pierced it hurts a lot less than that. Don't be scared fear is everything

i have my tongue pierced and my belly pierced and i am olny 12 years old and when i got it pierced and my tongue hurt so much it hurt more then my belly and now i have had my tongue pierced 4 about 2 years and its cool i change it and play with it and my belly is infected and i think ill have to take it out and my belly to get it pieced was $120 dollars and my tongue was $180 its so cool and i have got like ten tongue bars and 11 belly bars so it hurts so much so bye lisa GOODLUCK EVERY ONE PS IT HURTS

im thinkin of gettin my tongue pierced, i really like it. but my parents would kill me. besides that i dun care wat they think but im jus really scared...i hear that if they pierce it wrong it can ruin ur speech or your swallowin abilities... and thats my main concern...so if u know of anyone who has their tongue pierced can u please ask and write bak...thanx!!

When ever I pierced my tounge it didnt hurt at all. every one says it does hurt but it really doesnt. I pierced my tounge by my self and its perfectly fine I dont think it matters what age you get it pierced. It Hurts a lil bit when ever you eat so try to eat soft foods

Hell yeah it did hurt for me!!! I went into shock after I got it done, I didn't even move for a minute, I looked dead. It's been a week and it doesn't really hurt anymore and I wana change it but i cant until 2 more weeks! And for the age thing, you usually have to be 18 but im 16 and the place i went doesn't care but thats really rare. so it all depends where you live

for most people it doesn't hurt bitting your toungehurt worser than getting it pierced.and in most states you have to be at least 15 or 16 to get it done with ur parent.

i pierced my tongue a week & a half ago. im 14. and it looks awesome! but advice: the closer u pierce it 2 the tip the more its gonna hurt. but dont pierce it 2 far back. after i got mine pierced, 2 of my otha frends pierced theres. so im da first 2 pierce there tongue in the skool. if i want sumthin pierced u betta believe ill pierce it.

i got my tongue pierced a month ago and im only 14. I believe that you are old enough to get it done whenever you are able to care for it because if your not mature enough to care for it you could get it infected and other bad things could happen. There is really no specific age for it. I didnt think it hurt at all. I just couldnt really talk right for a week or so and it wasnt that bad it was just a little bit sore but i think it was way worth it because it rocks my socks..

Piercing your tongue will hurt only when the needle goes in for about 5-10 seconds..then you shouldnt really feel the pain afterwards for about 5 hours..then it will only be sore for a couple days. It will swell and turn bluish.but it will go back to normal as long as you clean it and take good care of it. Dont eat spicy or hard food at all for at least 1 month. If you take your tongue piercing out, it will leave a hole, but eventually turn into a dark scar.

Hey i want to get my tongue done, but am afraid it will hurt or get infected!!! And i have to wait untill i am 18 my friend let her friend pierce her tongue and she said it does not hurt! And the girl had all the right things but it stayed swelled for like 4 or 5 days should i let the friend pierce or go to a piercer??

it does really hurt at first however the pain soon goes and you can enjoy a perfect new tongue piercing i don't know the legal age to have your tongue pierced however i am 14 and have got it !!

I live in California, and here the legal age is 18. It does not hurt. The actual procedure is really quick! The healing process is pretty short, but it needs lots of care and whatever you do if you decided to pierce it, DO NOT pierce it yourself!

it does not hurt at all when u get your tongue done. like when the needle goes in you don't feel it just a little sting but it don't hurt. the next morning and a couple of days after it hurts allot but not for long just suck on allot of ice, and eat cold stuff.
