My wheaten has always had skin allergies. He's on Lamb and Rice food.  The vet often prescribes antibiotics.  Suddenly though he has a consistenly greasy coat and we're forced to bathe him once a week. Help? Thanks!

COOK FOR YOUR DOG AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. MAKE HIM TURKEY , SWEET POTATO'S AND KALE OR SPINACH. I FEED MY DOG TWICE A DAY. I WOULD SAY HE GETS WHATS EQUIVALENT TO A TURKEY BURGER, A HALF OF A SWEET POTATO AND 2 TBSPNS OF SPINACH TWICE A DAY. (I CHOP IT UP AND ADD HOT WATER) HE HAD THE SAME EXACT PROBLEMS AS YOUR DOG. $3000 IN DR.S FEES AND ALL THEY DID WAS TRY TO SELL ME THEIR FOOD AND SHOTS AND STEROIDS.

Lamb is no longer considered a hypoallergenic food, so I would suggest finding a food with fish, venison, or bison as the main ingredient. Also, avoid foods with Wheat, Corn, Soy and glutens, as Wheatens have serious allergies to these ingredients.

try changing out the lamb and rice diet , I have found that some dogs are reacting to rice and the lamb.  the greasey coat will also away when the dog begins to process the food better.
rice and lamb really cause some dogs and people problems.  Try chicken or turkey and no rice.
