walk through is informal meeting to discuss the technical issues in the project

walk through meetings r nothing but the casual meetings held between the testers, client, test lead ,developers,business analyst to understand the requirements of the clients in a better way.

"Wlkthrough" is an informal meeting for evalution or informational purposes. Little or seperation is usually required.

walk through are less formal than inspections mainly because of the lack of preparation.in walk throughs the participants simply come to the meeting the presenter prepares and there is no additional effect by the participants pricer to the meeting.

presenter: anyone
participant: large numbers
data collected: not required
output report: not required
preparation: presenter only
objective: to detect defects and to become familiar with material
occasionaly walkthroghs are used for purpose f communication rather than finding defects

walkthrough is that the author of the software introduces or discusses it with a coligue. it is a informal process to get introduced to the s/w they are developing

walthrough is the step by step simulation of the execution of a procedure as when walkthrough code line by line with an imagined set of inputs.
