The body can't stop pathogens from getting in but what it can do is fight them using white blood cells which engulf the infection and kill it off.

It's your job to protect your body from pathogens by getting pierced with a sterile single use needle by someone wearing clean gloves and using jewelry which has been autoclaved.

You can also help by cleaning your jewelry twice a day using a warm salt wash.
(make this by diluting 1/4 of a teaspoon of salt in a cup of warm water)
