I have 12 day old kittens that we are hand raising.  Everything is perfect, except getting them to move bowels.  We have had them for 2 days, and not one of the 6 has gone yet, despite continual tries as mentioned on all the methods mentioned here.  Any advice?  Should I begin to be overly concerned?  Thanks...  They are eating and urinating very well...

Don't give them any kind of oil. Vets say it stimulates them to poo, but we tired with one off our fosters right now and he almost died. Try holding there butts under a stream of warm water. That usually works.

Moisten a cotton ball and gently rub it on your kitten's penis or vagina. This is what the mother does to help stimulate bowl movement so it should work.

you have to rub their behind gently with a warm damp washcloth   their mothers lick them there to stimulate their bowels
