We have a nova scotia Duck Tolling retreiver who is now 8 months old.  We feed him twice a day 7:00 and 5:00.  In the the last week he is only half of the food at both feedings.  The vet says everything is ok with him.  Should he now be fed once a day?

I would think that if the vet says
everything is ok and he's growing at a
normal rate the dog may just not be hungry or
he doesn't like the food.  When the dog hits
another growing trend he will probably start
eating more, so I would keep feeding the dog
2x/day and monitor his progress but if he
starts to loose weight or doesn't seem to have much energy I would make a return visit
to the vet.
I am also in search of a female duck tolling
retreiver and can't find any at this time, if
anyone knows where I can find one of these
breeds please let me know.
