Can anyone please help to answer the following question's for me urgently!

1)  What is the /proc filesystem. What might you find in it that is
different between say, Linux and Solaris/Tru64 UNIX?

2)  What tools and procedures would you use to locate performance
problems on a UNIX system? What tools would you use for Disk, Memory,
    Network and CPU performance problems?

3)  A junior systems admin comes to you and says "The /var partition on
this UNIX system was full, I deleted this large log file, but there is
still no free space. 'du' reports that 20% of the disk is free, but
'df' still shows that the disk is full".  What has he forgotten to do?
Explain what is going on to cause this behaviour.

4) How would you remotely connect to a windows 2000 server console?
What would you need to install/configure on the machine to allow you
    to do so?

5) You suspect there area a large number of connections between your
windows 2000 web server and a remote database, how would you quickly
check the number of current connections?

The proc filesystem is an illusionary filesystem which does not exist on disk, but one which the kernel creates in memory.
