The reason Australia became involved in World War 2 was because in the 1930’s Germany wanted to expand there country and they threatened to invade Poland. Then France and Britain said that they would declare war if Germany invaded and as they did the two countries declared war. Germany did so on the first September and then did France and Britain on the third September. Australia was a loyal country and was in threat of the Japanese, so when Britain declared war so did Robert Menzies the Australian prime minister.  The Britain's assured Australia that their naval base in Singapore would not be defeated so we sent our troops to England.

Australia was involved in the Vietnam War to support the United States, the nation's new major ally after World War 2. Another reason why Australia was involved in the Vietnam War is because of the fear of spreading communism. Most Australians were concerned that China and North Vietnam, communist governments, may become new threats to Australia, hence the domino theory.
