Yesterday I noticed my cat was feeling ill....the symptoms came on very suddenly...diahreah, not eating or drinking, very weak and in-coherent. I took him to the vet and he tested positive for feline leukemia. As devastating as it was to find out my kitty so fatally sick so suddenly, I decided it would be best to put him down. My boyfriend, knowing how upset I was, went and got me a new kitten. We are wondering if by putting this little kitten in our apartment, are we endangering him by exposing him to the feline leukemia virus just by having him in our home???? Please help! We have heard different things from different ppl...and are not quite sure of the truth.
Thanks!!!! email me at : meagmack@hotmail.com

My cat had symtoms of sleepy.  Hair was standing up.  He kept licking himself. He was weak. He was even found stiff. We brought him to the Vet and found he had
TOXIC PLASMOSAS which is a disease from eating sick moles mice etc.  you can read about this if you look up toxic plasmosas

My cat stopped eating and is lethargic. She was at the vet's for 5 days, all kinds of test were done. What we know for now - the urinary tract infection. She is on antibiotics but it's been 9 days since I've seen her eat! There is no improvement in her appetite and it worries me that she was released home with the same symptoms I brought her in with.
