I have had a 3 year old Field Labrador for about 2 months now and sweet as this dog is, he is very aggressive toward small children and other animals.  Any suggestions?  I am taking him to basic obedience school next month but I am frightened he will bite a child.

I suggest for him to stay away from children for a while or maybe bring a child to your home, give the child some dog treats and let the child give it to the dog. Maybe he will get a little closer to children. If that dosn't work see a vet.

Our dog is the same way with our children. Our kids are very energetic and are in constant motion. Gabe just likes to play as he is still a puppy and does not realize how big he is. If the kids are outside, we chain the dog. Eventually your puppy will settle down. Recently, we had him fixed and that seemed to help quite a bit.
