my car has a knocking sound to it when i dive

Sounds like a death rattle;maybe a piston rod.
That's worst case senario. It could be a number of things.
Check your oil level. Maybe you got the wrong stick and oil's not reaching your heads.
If it's an older car,older than an 80 model and a v8,it should handle thicker 30 weight oil.
30 weight is not 10-30 oil. It's alot thicker.
Problem with 30 weight though is that it's sometimes a dog to start in the winter due to the cold.

it's called a rod knock, common chrysler engine problem, can't be avoided, just use synthetic oil to help reduce the friction

what kind of car? can you describe the knocking sound? you need your question to be a little mre helpful if you expect a good answer

I have the same problem, when u get ur timing done to ur car and the timeing belt isnt installed right then it makes that sound and the only way to fix that is to retune ur car.

that usually means either upgrade your octane of gas or bring it in for a check up
