It depends on the quality of the dog you are looking for(Show pet game)Personally I would not own a dog that was bred primarily for looks but they tend to cost more. You could find a pet as cheep as 150$ to 200$ but for a truly game dog you will pay a good bit more.(by game I am not referring to fighting)A game dog will probably run you 500$ or more, maybe less depending on the breeder. I would suggest you talk to several breeders, and if you decide on a game dog make sure you give it an outlet like pulling. Game dogs often have issues if they are not given specific things to do like pulling ,agility, personal protection, and even search and rescue. If you are looking for a pet I would also suggest looking at your local shelter or at a rescue.

One of my game-ass pitbulls was $300, the other was $400 because of his boudreaux bloodline.  But dog prices are cheap around here.  The breeder I got my dogs from charges twice on the internet what he charges in person. I.E. I would have spent $1400 on my two dogs over the internet.

I agree with you CH if you can help it you should always do business in person. Like I said a lot depends on the breeder one of the gamest dogs I have ever owned  ran me 350$ but some of the other game dogs that I have owned were considerably more.  I live in the south and the pits in these parts are considerably cheaper.

I would say $150 to $300 but it depends on the bloodline and if it was born to pull but it also depends on the breeder.

it all depends. is he registered? wut kind of registry? wut bloodlines does he have? how large are his parents? is it a game bred dog? the list could go forever!! but without knowing any of that.....it could cost anywhere from 100 to 1000 dollars

it should be 100.00 per month
if you have a 12 months pup then it should cost 1,200.00
no matter for what it was bred for.
except backyard pit dogs. those should be put down on the spot.
just buy pedigree dogs.

everything you guys say is about 2%correct.breed is 1% and style is 1%,so what i'm saying is you have to look at it long term, pitts are aggressive no matter which way you look at it.you can train them forever it still will be the same in some situations.if your going top buy a pitt breed puppy make sure you watch the aggressive play that people tend to do,that can help with the temperament they tend to have.
