I bought two young female guinea pigs from an ad in the paper.  One has gotten extremely fat and I think she could be pregnant.  I have had them for 53 days now.  Do I need to remove the other female from the cage? or if she is pregnant, can I relax and let nature take its course?

Thanks

Yes you need to remove the pregnant one and put her in her own little house so she can start nesting to give birth, if she is really pregnant. When the babies are born, wait until they are completely nursed before putting them with the other one, but hold the other one up to the cage every now and then so she can see them just to get used to them.

I don't really know but I think it's O.K. to
keep the two females together because the only guinea pigs you really need to seperate are the parents.Good Luck!
