One of the causes of World War II were unresolved problems from World War I. The peace treaties signed at the end of World War I helped cause World War II because the countries that won the war took advantage of Germany (one of the countries that lost). Italy and Japan wanted more land for their countries. This led to conflict with other countries. The Peace of Paris gave Italy less land than they thought they deserved, so the Italians said they would take some land when they had the chance. The Peace of Paris also let Japan take over German islands in the Pacific Ocean. The Japanese then worked their way to the other islands with their navy and army. The Japanese were upset because the Peace of Paris didn't say all races are equal.
