What should I do if I failed to turn in my departure card to the airline officer? I arrived in the USA via Detroit on April 17 and I left for the Philippines via LAX on April 30, 2002. The airline officer at LAX did not get my departure card. Worse, upon arrival in my home country, I lost my departure card. I have already reported it to the ACS last week and have mailed the documents that substantiate my departure from the US long before the expiration date on the card. Will the ACS record my departure based on the documents I submitted? How long will the recording take place? Can I enter the US again without any problem at the port of entry? I intend to go to the US for a 3-week vacation on week 4 of May 2004. Do I have to follow up on the reply from ACS or our local consulate office? I certainly appreciate your help on this matter.
