Labs will eat anything you give them. They eat all they can and this tends to make them overweight. At seven months, he might be going through a growth spurt which would require more food. The same thing happened with my dog. I also noticed that your dog is running for a good five miles a day which will take alot of energy and might also require more food. I suggest that you increase his food ration a bit. If he seems to be getting over weight, decrease it a bit but I don't think he'll get too fat with all the exercise he's getting. Tanisha

My 7 mo old lab would eat my socks if I would let him. I feed him two cups of Iams in the morning and in the evening. They are just eaters.  Don't let them fool you. For a chewing treat with no calories, I give him ice cubes.  Takes care of the chewing.

he is still a puppy and as  stated above its prob  just a growth thing my two pups are the same way  they seem to eat a lot but as long as they are healthy  thats all that matters. also if u don't let him eat until he is full it could lead to behavior problems in the end.

My Lab is the same way.  She is 8 mos old, but gets a lot of exercise and I feed her Science Diet's all natural food, 3 and 1/2 cups in the morning and night.  I have been feeding her like this for 1 and 1/2 mos and she's only gained about 4 lbs.

My lab is 2 years old i had the same problem with him eating to much and too fast.  I took him to the vet and they said that is natural.  One thing they told me to do is to put his food on a cookie sheet and spread it all over the sheet.  This would help him start to slow down on his eating.  It worked

Instead of ice cubes clean out an empty milk container and fill it up with water let it freeze ...cut the carton open and there you have it a massive block of water good for a hot day.
