Mysterious electrical problem with 2000 Chrysler Sebring JXi convertible.  Today, for no apparent reason the power top, power windows, blower fan will not work.  In addition the Air Bag light is lit. All other electrical components seem to be OK.  I checked the blower fuse (OK).  Any ideas?

I bought a 2000 sebring jxi convertible about a year ago with only 32,000 miles and I've had it in the shop 4 times for "sensor" replacements.  It seems the car's electrical system is screwy and it just stops working when a sensor blows.  I'm getting tired of it and thinking of unloading this beautiful, comfortable, unreliable car.
good luck.

Replace the ignition switch.  Had similar problem on 2001 chrysler sebring.  Also blower resistor is likely blown.

Check your chassis ground, most battery lines will run off to the engine first, then have a braided strap that goes to the inside of your engine compartment and is bolted down there, your car will start and run without the chassis ground, but may very well disable all the other things that don't have a direct grounding line to them.
