Have a 1998 Beetle.  Just replaced the timing belt and for about the first mile or two everything was fine.  Now I have noticed a loss of power and rough idle.  Is it possible for the belt to slip a knock?  This was not a new belt, I had to replace the water pump at 64,000 miles.  I checked the belt width like the manual suggested and it showed that no replacement was required.  Help!
