can plated slagwurm be countered? right when you summon it?

can plated slagwurm be countered? right when you summon it?

I'm sorry to say that it can be countered. This is because before the Slagworm hits the table, it is just a spell, and it's abilities don't take effect until it's resolved, and hits the table.

summing a monster is a spell so if a person played an instant or a craetures ability the spell could be countered right then and there.
