My Rott-X had this since about 6 mos.  It got larger and was diagnosed and removed at about 1-1/2 yrs.  After being prodded by vet, the nodule began to sort of shed and ooze.  Much better to have it removed, has not grown back after 4 years.

have 1 9 1/2 year old gsd with same.  only treatment is surgical excision each time a deposit becomes large and/or uncomfortable for him.  all nodes have been in large footpads (both front paws).  seems to handle surgeries relatively well.

Our 7 mo old Border Collie was just diognosis with Calcinosis Circumscripta.  THe vet said to remove but they will probably grow back, again and again.  Does anyone have any experience with this problem?

My GSD puppy was just diagnosed with calcinosis circumscripta.  He is a very well bred dog from the Czech border patrol working lines.  He was about 7 mos old when the lump began to grow and we had it removed.  Is the calcium ratio in food to blame?
