I strongly believe that Pearl is an octopus of some sort. Firstly, she can't be a jellyfish because I've never see one squirt ink before. Secondly, she isn't a squid because squids have...well, something pointed on their heads. Their tentacles are much longer too. (But there may be exceptions, I dunno...) Anyway, I read an answer on this page about "Finding Nemo 2" coming out in March 2005, and that's an ALL-OUT LIE!!! Pixar's release for year 2005 is "Cars". They haven't announced any plans for a sequel yet. But I'd just LOVE to watch "Finding Nemo 2", because I really enjoyed the first one. Especially the music. Then again, it shouldn't be named "Finding Nemo 2". Who wants to see Marlin setting out to find his son all over again??? It just doesn't make sense.

I have been checking in on several Disney web sites as usual and I have also been checking my replies on this one. I am appalled at some of your comments concerning this question. "Dingo," I am married and have three children, so don't be hitting on me, next. As for you, "WayneTan," I don't want to even reply to your message, after I've been working so many long hours at my office so Finding Nemo 2 will be a success! I so don't need you to tell how I am a liar (which I'm not, by the way! I don't think this "WayneTan" should be talking, because he is the liar!) FYI...Pixar is coming out with a movie "Cars," but Finding Nemo 2 will be out the same year, in 2005. I would like to know what "reliable" source you got that information from! And you stated something about our company not releasing any information on a sequel---believe it or not...I JUST DID!!!!!!! By the way, Jen, I have received your message to me and would like to complement you for being SOMEBODY (hem hem) who actually has the courtesy to check their information before releasing nonsense lies onto the web!!! To "Ms. Rosenthal", Look, I know that accusing you of being a liar will upset you, my apologies if my words are offensive. In fact, after doing some research on the Internet I have noticed that a sequel for Finding Nemo seems inevitable. But there's just one problem: you are giving the wrong release date. Not necessarily on purpose, but it's still the wrong release date. Compare these web pages: http://www.thezreview.co.uk/comingsoon/f/findingnemo2.htm http://www.thezreview.co.uk/comingsoon/c/cars.shtm If you have the guts to follow these links, you'll notice that the web site has a considerable amount of information about "Cars", which will be released in Summer 2005. As for "Finding Nemo 2", which is supposed to be in theaters by March 2005, there is no information about the cast, crew, release dates etc......at all. What's more, at the bottom of that page, director Andrew Stanton says that "We're not going to let the hype influence us into making rash decisions. If there is a sequel, it will happen when there's a story that's equal or better than the first". This implies that they do not have a storyline (or any plans, for that matter) to make a sequel for Finding Nemo. If you expect Pixar to cook something up in just 1 year's time, I'd rather not watch it. That's all the proof I can get for now. It might be only one website, but that's because there's nothing else out there that has anything to do with "Finding Nemo 2". Don't believe me? You're welcome to search the Web with all major search engines in the world. Yahoo, Google, MSN, AltaVista etc. That's what I did, and all they turned up was "Finding Nemo (2003)" and "Finding Nemo 2-Disc DVD". As a last resort, we can just wait, and see what happens.

Response to "WayneTan," Your findings are correct...But your research didn't give you ALL of the information. We have been keeping some things quiet due to conflict of Finding Nemo 2's exact storyline. We didn't want to publicize our disagreements to the world because news travels fast and as you know, it IS called the "World Wide Web." In a matter of seconds, this news could be making history and fan letters of Finding Nemo would come POURING in (giving us suggestions of what in THEIR opinion the movie should have in it). If we didn't satisfy ALL of their requests, they would form angry groups and we didn't want that kind of publicity so early on in the makings of the movie because it might pressure us into giving ourselves a nervous breakdown. Also, the animators, producers, and other workers of Pixar Animation and Disney would be embarrassed that our own company couldn't make up our own material (not that you guys wouldn't have good suggestions, just that the producers would rather we make up our own material). As for the year that Finding Nemo 2 would be making it's big debut, we posted that information BEFORE we had all of those disagreements. Most likely, the year will probably change from 2005 to 2006 or 2007. You were absolutely correct, "WayneTan," when you said that you wouldn't want to watch a movie that Pixar could "cook up" in one year's time. Personally, (DON'T TELL MY EDITORS!!!!!!!!) Answer to "Tiffy xxx": The seahorse's name is Sheldon. In the movie, he was only describing himself as being "H20 intolerant" (I checked the dictionary for you). Answer to "Ms. Rosenthal": It should occur to you that your last answer leads us straight back to the beginning of this conversation. If you scroll back up to my first post at this forum (which was quite impolite, again I apologize), I started posting because I disagreed about the release date of "Finding Nemo 2". Well, now that you agree with me that it wouldn't be released as soon as 2005, I guess this shall be the end of conversation. By the way, what is the address of your official web site? WayneTan, I just love Finding Nemo the movie and I logged onto this web-site to learn a little more about Pearl. Isn't she just the cutest(squeal)???!!! You seem to know an awful lot about the movie and I love that, because I just looovvveee the movie!!! I wanted to know if we could talk some time...Maybe alooone (without that nosy "Ms. Rosenthal"). I'm seventeen years old and have blonde hair and green eyes. I am really athletic, I play on my school's soccer team and my school's swim team. I also play on my country club's basketball team and have won the MVP award two years in a row. Are you into sports??? What teams do you like??? Reply to Lucy: I really dare not admit that I know anything much about Finding Nemo. But one thing remains true...Just like every other fan out there, I really love Finding Nemo, and that is perhaps why I strive to find out as much as possible about it. In fact, all that information is already on the Internet, just waiting to be discovered. All you have to do is to open a new window in your Internet browser, and set out to find them for yourself. After that, you watch the DVD a few more times, and you'd probably know as much as I do. Right now, the only possible way for us to communicate in a more "alone" environment is via e-mail. Oh, and one more thing. I do not think that Ms. Rosenthal is a nosy person. Imagine yourself in her position as the Executive Production Manager for the Walt Disney Company in Orlando, Florida. I came across this sight just wanting to get the DVD Finding Nemo for my 1 1/2 yr old nephew who loves the movie and watches it about 3 times a day, but now the DVD is nowhere to be found and I need to order one online ASAP because my nephew is constantly asking me to put the movie on. The responses on this site made me laugh. I believe Pearl is some type of octopus. WayneTan, I think its very cool that you're writing all the way from Malaysia. I'm actually going to the Philippines next year with a good friend of mine who is from there. I can't wait to go. I would love to go to Malaysia as well. From what I've seen, it looks so beautiful, but I doubt I'll be able to go. I live in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and attend college at Florida International University in Miami FL. I'm in my last year. ok,everyone saying that cephalopods (octopii and squids) don't "ink" which in ur definition is "squirt", are dumbasses. She is in the octopus family, what kind...is why i'm here. She's not a squid...to see a squid..watch spongebob squarepants and refer to squidward. Squids are ugly. Pearl is adorable. And by the way Jelly fish don't squirt/ink..they STING...ass. thanks and have a blessed day.

Yeah she's a FlapJack Octopus. The answers are there staring you in the face guys.. Coral.. I agree.. That would be fab if they did a second one and Coral was in it.. They didn't actually kill her although it looked pretty tragic. Maybe they will come up with something. But they should go for a second one. I watched it with my children who loved it. I'm 25 and can't stop watching it. LOL

Shes the god-damn Starfish! at the end of Finding Nemo, the aquarium fish get away from the dentist office and tell Pearl to hurry up. She is the starfish! Watch the end of the movie to find out. I know I watched it 10 times!

I think that Coral went crazy and she poke out the barracudas eyes so he went away. But she decided Marlin was too weird not and rich enough so she left him and took the eggs with her. She went to live with Mr. Ray, who end up becoming Nemos teacher. It will al be explained to you more clearly if you just LISTEN TO THE VOICES!!!! THEIR EVERYWHERE!!!! AHH!!!! THERE THEY ARE!!! MAKE THEM STOP!!!

My girlfriend and I are having an argument about Nemo...as the solitary egg after the whole barracuda attack you notice that the egg has a small fracture...My girlfriend claims that this is the reason as to why Nemo has a "lucky" (deformed)fin....I don't see it...Fish eggs don't crack....think caviar!!! Anybody got any comments....Pearl is an Octopus.
