I need Javascript to run a (my.exe) from the Client to the Server. I own the Server and I want the Clients to execute programs I make available on my Server. I tried VB script but the Server will not let me run the programs. I get page error. I use HTML with javascript to create the links  Thanks

This is JavaScript (try RUNAT=Server if you need to execute on Server)
function executeCommands(inputparms)
{
// Instantiate the Shell object and invoke its execute method.
   var oShell = new ActiveXObject("Shell.Application");
// example only Notepad.exe use yuor's command
   var commandtoRun = "c:\windows\Notepad.exe"
   if (inputparms != "")
      {var commandParms = document.Form1.filename.value;}
// Invoke the execute method.
oShell.ShellExecute(commandtoRun, commandParms, "", "open", "1");
}

I don't know. I have been looking for the same thing. I am trying to make a menu asking what program to run and the execute the file chosen.
