You'll need an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software package.  Your local computer specialist should be able to recommend a package suitable for your PC.

Adobe provides one software, Erich enables us to read the text from scanned file

I am also searching for the same thing and got that it should be first converted into ASCII codes and then thru s/w we can change it to the text.OCR is used for it but don't  know where to get it

Best way to do it is to search <a href="http://www.google.com">google</a> for ocr soft. hope that helps

Hi. All ! The solution is only OCR. Take your page, scan it with any scanner. There is an option i.e. scan by OCR in every scanning software. Save your file in *.doc format. Then ENJOY .

Some  ocr Activexcomponent is available u can utilize it in vb.net to make image to text
