I think that a Quaker is a person that is not against God. But does not belive that they have to go to church to belive in God. They belive that wars and slavery are bad things.

I do genealogy reseach. I find that one of my husband's ancestors was a Quaker. Some information states that he was at "Honey Creek-New London MM, Howard Co., Indiana" or some other place with the letters "MM". Can someone tell me what the letters MM stand for?

The Quaker religion is a religion that started back in the 1600's.  This religion is a religion STRICTLY based out of the bible.  I attend a Quaker Church and am higly offended at some of the other answers above.  We do not hold animals equal to humans, nor is our God a farter.  We believe in the true Jesus of the bible and that God manifest himself in the flesh to be with us on earth until his death and resurection.

I am a true beliver of the ass fart God. I believe that when i fart god is with me coming out of my smelly arse. When i go to church there is alot of ass statues and ornaments which we scratch and sniff to worship the ass fart god. If our butts are clean when we attend church it is a sin.the main centre of the church is the Butt which stinks of poo. thanks for reading and join our church. ASSFARTMEN

The Quaker religion was started in England in the 1600s.  It was started by George Fox.  Their meetings take place in a meeting house where they sit silent for the whole worship.  They used to not have ministers, but until recently, they have ministers that don't have any experience at all.  I hope this helps you some.

Quakerism is a branch of Christianity founded by George Fox in the mid-17th century. However, they believe in the perfectibility of humanity - that all humans contain good and are capable of good things - which is contrary to some Christian and catholics belief that evil is a inexorable part of humans that we must continually repress.

They also emphasize the direct experience of God rather than ritual and ceremony and do not partake in such things as baptism and communion. They believe that priests and rituals are an unnecessary obstruction between the believer and God.

There's a bunch of stuff about these people that I'm forgetting to add, but that's pretty much all of it.
