i was here on a temporary visa from brazil during an athletic competition three years ago. My visa has long expired and i worked in the food industry since that time. I want to marry the woman i love who is an american citizen but am uncertain of the complications involved since we agreed she would not give up her citizenship here. my english is fair but i do not know how to read english, ; i speak portuguese. will i be jeapordizing my love in any way. i love her and do not want to lose her nor she me but we are uncertain what to do to make things right. if need be i will give up my citizen ship to brazil but my love and i both agree to live there in the future for several months of the year. my family from my youth still remains there, and i love them too very much. please help as we want to get married in the next few weeks- we have waited since a year. thank you
