life was Hard because a lot of people didn't have jobs. They didn't have jobs and enough food because the Treaty of Versailles forced Germany to pay £6,600,000,000 for the war expenses and they had to take full responsibility for the war. They were also given new boarders for Germany so a lot of people were finding themselves not in Germany.
