I have a 96 Chevy Monte Carlo and almost every time I start it I hear a very loud pop and see some smoke , It is the hose boom the master cylinder to the brake fluid it pops off . I don't know why and I am wondering if it is dangerous?

Well I,m speechless about the top popping off of the master cylinder, but the loud pop, to me; sounds like a back fire problem.  Normally the reason for that has to deal with one or both of these two things: either it is because of the exhaust or its in the injectors.

I think you mean the noise you hear is the hose popping off the master cylinder, right?  If that is what is happining you probably have some kind of a vacume issue.  That is a brake booster and the hose should have some suction, not blowing air.  If it doesn't suck you have a problem with vacum issue....maybe a bad pcv vaulve?   or even a bad brake booster.  Brakes work good?  Engine stall or idle bad?
