Newfoundlands family is the Livestock dog, Sheepdog, and mastiff. The origin is in Canada and the date was around the 1700's. For amale it weighs 130-150lbs. females between 100-120lbs.  But there has been some that have reached over.  They average from 25-28 inches to the withers.. This dog is very outgoing, calm, and gentle but can protect if needed.  To find a breeder you have to www.google.com and then you have to write "Newfoundland breeders"
