what are the most lives allowed in magic the gathering?

There is technically no upper or lower limited your life can be. There are many combos in magic that can effectively gain you infinite life. (Grim Monolith + Power Artifact + Stream of life) Technically you must pick some number, you cant just say your life is "infinite". So as big of a number as you can think of, thats how big your life can be.

If you have some way to stay alive, like platinum angel, your life can go into the negative too.
