Does war have a positive affect? Well lets see James. Many times it does like in World War 2 after the Allie victory. Hitler and his Nazi party fell... Now you have 2005 and we (America) are at war with them (Iraq) and what has happened because of this war. Suddam Hussein has fallen, his whole clique has fallen, and they are voting right now as i type this for there own democracy. They want to be free and i think we are going to give it to them... but there are more bad things to war than there is good things. So to answer your question yes there are good things to war sometimes....

Yes, it can boost your economy while bringing your country together as a whole. New thing may be invented to bring peace to the war or to make significant advances. For example, aerojet planes and radar was invented by Americans during World War II, advances in human right is also plays a big role. My grandfather was alive during World War II and the stories he tells me are just amazing.
