mine closed up overnight cause it fell out, but when i woke up i jabbed it back thru (hey i payed 60$ for that). answer:screw it on tight

I TOOK MINE OUT AND IT HAD HEALED A FEW HOURS LATER , IT DEPENDS ON HOW FAST U HEAL.

UMM I accidently swalled my backing and had to take it out when i got home from work it was already closed up .But if you are talking about the outside that dosent go away mine has been out for like 4 months and you can still see the hole in front.

I've got 3 labret pericings, The top one i've had done for 2 years, and the ones below, only a week. I could leave the top one out for about an hour without it hurting to much when putting it back in, the bottom two, it would hurt taking them out and putting them in, after two weeks, you can take them out for about... 20-30minutes

i herd that the longer you have it in the longer it takes to heal up. my friend has had his in for about a year and his will take about 4 hours to heal up beacuse oral peirceings heaql faster than other peirceings...

MY LABRET USUALLY LAST LIKE 3 DAYS THEN I PUT IT BACK IN USUALLY IT HURTS A BIT BUT U COULD DEAL WITH THE PAIN.

Personally, I had mine done in January and I had to start taking it out for work since April. The longest I've had it out is 4/5 hours and it just takes me a little longer to push it back through. I'm not sure whether its wise to do this 3 times a week but it works for me!!

it will take about 3 days to fully heal over if it has healed or 3 hours if the piercing is less than 3 weeks old.

HEY, MY FRIEND HAD HIS LABRET DONE A FEW YEARS AGO AND IT STILL HASNT CLOSED OVER EVEN THOUGH HE TOOK IT OUT LIKE 3 OR 4 YEARS AGO, SO IM NOT SURE. I THINK THOUGH THAT THERE WILL MOST LIKELY BE A SMALL SCAR THERE FOREVER BUT IT WILL ONLY BE TINY

i think it really all depends, I've had mine out for several months at a time and I was able to put my ring back in (i'vealso had my peircing for 4 years now... regardless i was able to do it after 8 mo). for most people i think it'll close up within a month

I've got a lip piercing, holy crap does it hurt. It's still bleeding from well over a week. I've got a fishtail in and can't get it the hell out! I'm SO sick and tired of the fishtail colliding with my teeth and moving up and down. How do I get it out? My piercer said not to because it will close, but I want it to close, it's so lame!

well it kinda difs for me and my friends but for me it takes about 4 hours befor i have to force it back throw my friend can go a day with it out it in i think it mite mater on your gage to but i and the expert

If i got ma LABRET pierced...how long will i hav to wait to change it ? would it close up r get infected if i took it out for 9 hours a day 4 days a week for skewl...bc facial piercings aren't allowed at ma skewl...uhh r there n e studs that aren't very noticable ? thnx �corey

like any piercing... if its new it should only take a few days, if you've had it for a while it could be a few weeks...

it takes a few days to heal and start to scab. you wont see the hole in 3-6 days.

it takes a botu 10 years to get the skin to grow bacl over and leave a scar. when i took out mine it bleed evryday and i had to get tetnus shots and test done cause of all the infecton and my lip has a long cut in it now cause my labret! DONT GET IT DONE IT IS DANGEROUS!

A matter of minutes really. I took mine out at 3 pm (work made me) and i couldn't get it back in at 3:45 because it had scabbed over.

Lip piercings tend to seal up fast so if your wanting to take it out and leave it out after you got ti pierced that's okay but if your ataking it out to change it like a week after you had it done i wouldn't you really need to wait about 2-3 months
