Do discarded cards (like creature cards), go to my graveyard, or is there a seperate discard pile for discarded cards? Also, when I play cards with the ability to put creatures from my graveyard into play, does this include discarded creature cards?

There is only one graveyard. Cards discarded from hand go to the graveyard. The graveyard is where all cards go, unless something specifically says its removed from the game (which is a separate pile).

You can play spells that put creatures into play from graveyard no matter how they got there. Just remember you cant discard a card from hand for no reason.
